From the look of things, this is a very important meeting between twins about socks. Maybe they can solve the everlasting mystery of the missing sock that always disappears in the wash! Regardless, there is no doubt these twins have their own special way to communicate with each other and it makes Mom (and the rest of us) so happy to see! According to TODAY, babies can communicate with each other, but not as you might think!
The website explains, "'They may not talk yet, but it turns out babies can recognize each other's emotions by 5 months of age, correctly matching the sounds of happy or frustrated infants with the appropriate facial expressions. The takeaway for parents is that babies are very much aware of emotion,' said Ross Flom, as associate professor of psychology at Brigham Young University..."
This means that babies can read each other's emotions and reciprocate! Their type of communication leads to adorable interactions like you see in the video below.
Mom stays silent as her adorable little ones banter back and forth and trade precious pairs of socks! Even with this brief interaction, it's clear to see these twins are going to be best friends for life!
Maybe the 18-month-old twins Stella and Lilah are mapping out an easier way for Mom to keep track of their socks, especially the ones that they love to pull off and toss.
