Firemen Dispatched To Burger King For Woman In Labor, Next Day Get Same Call Raising Suspicion

Two adorable baby boys have aptly earned the nickname "whopper" after they caught their mommas off guard by arriving in this world in an unlikely place. The two infants were born within 24 hours of each other at a popular eatery in Denville, New Jersey.
It was ironic that the speedy deliveries occurred in the parking lot of the fast food joint Burger King. Employees and emergency rescue workers could not believe that the two births occurred at the same restaurant on the same weekend.
An even bigger twist in this story is that the exact same first responders showed up for both births. Volunteer firefighter Rich Yobs said it was surreal. He told CBS News:
"It's excitement - pure excitement. The adrenaline is rushing."
The mom who went into labor on Friday was en route to the hospital when her contractions became too intense. Her driver pulled over into the Burger King parking lot and she began to push, Rich said.
"Contractions came full force, and next thing you know, the water's breaking and baby's on its way. Within a few minutes, the baby was out. Like, it came fast. We got her into the ambulance and handed the baby to her and let her hold him the whole way to the hospital, so she was happy about that."
Then just 24 hours later, Rich and fellow firefighter-EMT Shannon Covert were dispatched to that same Burger King for a call about another mom in the throes of labor. This time, the mom was already pushing when they arrived on the scene. Rich was left speechless when he realized the emergency he was being called to assist. He explained to CBS News:
"We look at our pagers and go: ‘This is a joke. This can't be - two nights in a row, the same exact thing,' Sure enough, we get down there and it is. And I mean, that one came even quicker!"
Even more interesting is that the moms delivered their healthy baby boys within just 30 feet of each other. When Rich and Shannon transported the second mom to the hospital on Saturday, a maternity floor nurse at St. Clare's Denville Hospital inquired where the baby had been born at. Shannon said her response was hilarious.
"I said, ‘Burger King,' and she goes, ‘Let me see the little whopper!' So that's probably going to be the kid's nickname forever!"
What a crazy whopper of a birth story these two moms now have to tell about how their little blessings came into the world. Thankfully, the babies were healthy and checked out just fine at the hospital.
