Celine Dion is an incredible singer, and even when she does a cover of someone else's famous song, she nails it. That's exactly what happened when she belted out the iconic Elvis Presley tune "Can't Help Falling In Love" live in Las Vegas.
Celine heaped praise upon the King of Rock and Roll before singing the tune, telling the audience:
"I would like to pay tribute to the greatest entertainer of all time: Mr. Elvis Presley. Elvis was Las Vegas. And if it wasn't for him, so many performers like myself would probably never had had the chance to do what we do in this town. He really was The King."
During the late '60s and '70s, Elvis would save "Can't Help Falling In Love" for the finale portion of his live shows. Everyone knows that musical artists save their best songs for the end.
In 1993, the song experienced a revival when the British reggae band UB40 released a cover of it on their album Promises and Lies. It hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and stayed on top of the charts for seven weeks. While the song had a slightly different melody than the original, it was hugely popular all over the world, reaching number one in countries such as Australia, Netherlands, Sweden, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
