Mom's Wallet Swiped, She's Stunned When Thief Contacts Her

After Rachel Maestri couldn't find her designer wallet while running errands with a fussy baby at the grocery store, she began to panic. She thought she had misplaced it, but it turns out someone had stolen her Louis Vuitton.
In it was $350 in cash and a nail salon punch card. This California mom at first was thrilled when her wallet eventually was recovered, but it wasn't by the police.
The thief who actually swiped the mom's wallet while she was distracted with her baby actually mailed her credit cards and driver's license back to her. Rachel was surprised to find the package postmarked just two hours after her wallet was stolen.
If that wasn't creepy enough, the manila envelope also contained a note from the criminal. The crook actually had the audacity to criticize Rachel! The note read:
"Shop less, enjoy more, don't keep too much cash in your wallet, keep your wallet safe."
While Rachel was glad to have her belongings back, she couldn't believe that the thief penned a note giving her advice. "You have got to be kidding me," Rachel said.
"It really creeps me out that someone did something so personal and sent [the items] back to me. I don't know if it was a relief, because it really creeps me out that they would go through the trouble to teach me a lesson."
At the end of the strange letter was one more bit of weird advice. Rachel couldn't believe it!
"P.S. Do your own nails. Stop splurging your money & SAVE."
What bothered Rachel even more -- aside from the thief telling her how to live her life and that the criminal was keeping the money because she needed it more than her -- was that the wallet was a gift from her mother. Because of that, it contained sentimental value.
