Frantic Mom Calls Cops On 3-Year-Old After Discovering What She Did In Backseat Of Car

Arizona mom Michelle Fortin was driving her two children home when she saw something in the backseat that made her instantly pull over. Like any parent, Michelle always has the best interest of her children at heart. As hard as we may strive to always do the right thing as parents, moments of pure frustration are practically unavoidable. But as Michelle would soon learn, it is how we handle these difficult moments that matters the most.
Like any parent knows, a car ride with two youngsters is anything but quiet. It can be easy to tune out most of the chatter in the backseat, but a mother's intuition always knows when there is something to be concerned about.
She explained to ABC 7 the moment she knew something was wrong.
"All I heard was her screaming and crying, and all of a sudden her brother, who was sitting next to her, yells, 'Mommy! Mommy, she unbuckled her seat belt!'"
Frustrated with little Camille, Michelle decided to take drastic action. She immediately pulled over to the side of the road and tried to get the important message across to her rambunctious toddler. Unfortunately for mom, this didn't seem to work.
At her wits end and running out of options, she knew she had to do something big. She explained to Good Morning America:
"She needs to know what's right and what's wrong and it's my job to tell her that and to teach her and to raise her to respect authority."
What she did next captured a lot of media attention - and for good reason. The moment they arrived home, Fortin immediately called the Scottsdale Police Department on her daughter. While some may consider this unnecessary and drastic, she told ABC 7:
"I guess it was an extreme choice on my part to call police, but...I knew that was gonna drive the point home better than just hearing it from mom."
It didn't take long for the two officers to show up at Michelle's house, ready to teach the 3-year-old a lesson she would never forget.
See what happened with the police showed up at little Camille's door. Do you think she took it too far?
