Julian and Brian Woodburn have been deployed for months and when they returned, they planned a really touching surprise for their daughter. They asked the help of Nathan Roberts, a magician.
Out of all the people in the venue, Nathan picked Addison for his demonstration. She was placed in front where everyone could see her. At first, he interviewed the little girl who was really articulate. She was wearing a military jacket which looked just adorable on her!
To start the first trick, Nathan asked Addison to face the stage. When she was in position, he started waving his arms above a box. His assistant and a brown bear helped him at that point.
Then to everyone's amazement, Addison's mom popped out of the box! The little girl immediately went running towards her. Julian scooped up her baby creating a moment that was truly touching. It's hard to imagine there was a dry eye in the house!
Just when everyone thought the surprise was over, Nathan told Addison that he had another surprise for her. He went to the back of the bear and helped unzipped the costume. And there was Brian! The family hugged after the reveal and you can see the genuine happiness in Addison's face.
The entire crowd was smiling all throughout the performance. Both children and adults were really pleased with what they saw. After all, what they witnessed that day was more than just a magic show - but a reunion that'll inspire them for the rest of their lives.
Families of deployed soldiers often go through the pain of missing their loved ones. Some families are lucky enough to be apart for only a few months, while others much longer than that. In those cases, children are often most affected since they have to grow up without their parents by their side. Addison's case was even more difficult since both of her parents were deployed at the same time. Fortunately though, they were able to reconnect in the most heartwarming way they'll never forget.
Be sure to grab a tissue before enjoying this "magical" homecoming surprise for yourself!
