There really is something special about a mother's hug, a mother's kiss, or even just a mother's presence. When mom is around, kids feel safe. When they get hurt, they run to mommy. When they are happy, they run to mommy. When they have good news, most of the time, mommy is the first person to know about it.
Our mothers are quite literally the person we've known the longest, even beginning with nine months spent nestled in their bodies. Even before birth, mothers give their all to bring babies into this world. This is why the special bond between mother and child is unique, pure, and unbreakable.
We see a lot of moms with their babies around us. We see them in malls, trying to get around the maze of people and navigate a stroller and a gazillion bags. We see them in supermarkets, precariously balancing baby and the groceries looking like they're about to fall. And, the place we dread them most, we see them on flights, most likely grumpy and not inclined to grant us any sleep.
While all this may be true, when you look closely despite the first layer of outward struggle, you'll see the unmistakable bond of love. Even with tired eyes and unkempt hair, moms look at their babies with a fierce love. It's even there under the thin veil of anxiety and lack of sleep.
For sweet baby Knox and his momma, though, you'll see it right away.
Little Knox's dad woke him up from his sleep and brought him over to his mom's bed. Now that sounds disastrous, waking a baby from his sleep when most parents do everything they can to keep them asleep. But Knox looked excited as soon as his dad told him they'll go see his mom. He grinned ear to ear and squealed in excitement!
Sleeping soundly in bed, Knox's mom got a wonderful surprise as she woke up to her sweet baby right next to her. You could see Knox eyeing his mom with so much affection, it is adorable! He snuggles close to her and buries his face into her neck in such a sweet gesture.
This brought a satisfied smile on his mom's face who pulled him closer and showered him with kisses.
