Say Yes to the Dress is a popular television show that features a popular Manhattan-based bridal salon called Kleinfeld Bridal which has earned a reputation of being one of the world's finest. It's only natural that every bride-to-be's dream wedding includes finding the perfect dress in the bridal salon. The show aims to give each bride-to-be the ultimate experience as they choose from a plethora of bridal gowns ranging from modern designs to simpler and more timeless pieces. Brides who get featured on the show are accompanied by a panel that helps them decide, usually consisting of the bride's mother, an aunt, a sister, or even a godmother. As a show that helps bring each bride's dream to life, it sometimes involves fashion makeovers. More importantly, it gives them the opportunity to liaise with fashion designer and TV presenter Randy Fenoli. His designs always elicit enthusiastic responses from the brides-to-be and their chosen company.
Randy's hands-on approach to helping brides find the perfect dress means he gets to hear a number of unique stories. His job also entails making numerous attempts at gaining the approval of the bride's chosen panel which isn't always easy. In this episode, Mariah, the bride-to-be, has requested for her dog Coco to be given a matching dress. She shared that she and her dog always wear matching dresses and that her wedding day shouldn't be an exception. She also emphasized that the dresses fit her two inspirations: Colorado and Hawaii.
Choosing the perfect dress to wear on the big day isn't a smooth process. To help Mariah narrow down her options, Randy Fenoli brings out dresses which he feels suit her personality and style best. The first option, an ethereal silver piece, was every bit as elegant and beautiful but was unfortunately met with rejection because of its low neckline and weight. After letting Mariah try on a couple of uniquely-designed bridal gowns, Randy Fenoli decided to let the bride-to-be wear one of his more current designs. His breathtaking creation deviated from the usual wedding white. The dress, designed in a dusty sky blue hue, had a gorgeous silhouette that fit Mariah like a glove.
When she came out wearing the dress, it was met with gushes and smiles of approval. Mariah's mother, evidently the most difficult to please among everybody present, called it the perfect dress for her daughter, much to the relief of Randy and the bride-to-be.
